A one-day menopause workshop developed to educate, inform and guide hypnotherapists & psychotherapists and other wellbeing professionals to support women on menopausal issues.

If you professionally support women in your practice and feel you would like to understand more about menopause management, this is a good place to start. The workshop is a practical guide covering a wide breadth of knowledge on the most important areas of the menopause .

Increased Awareness

Our mission is to increase your awareness of ways to support women before and after their menopause to help promote optimal menopause management.  To achieve this, we will explore the facts and myths in detail, and we will answer any of your questions. The workshop is supported with downloadable written material, including client handouts and information sheets, intake forms and symptom checker, scripts and workbook.

Managing the menopause is an important part of any woman’s health. The workshop provides an integrated approach to the menopause and its implications on women’s wellbeing at home and in the workplace. Because each women’s experience of the menopause is unique, it follows that each appointment must be tailored to your client’s individual needs.

Menopause and Stress

In light of research which has shown that a large proportion of menopausal women feel stressed or anxious, it follows that working to reduce those feelings is key.  Stress often leads to poor diet and unhealthy lifestyles, which can, in turn, cause more cortisol release.   The result is often more weight around the middle, mood swings, brain fog, and energy crashes. Because of all this, your client may feel like she is on a hamster wheel.  This workshop is a practical no–nonsense approach to managing symptoms and exploring possibilities to take control of that which may feel out of control.

Managing the Transition

The menopause happens to every woman, and to reduce menopausal symptoms, your client will need to make changes.  It might be a big stretch to suggest that a woman could enjoy the menopause transition.  But that transition can sometimes last for years, and that’s a very long time not to enjoy life whilst just waiting for things to improve all by themselves. I am not saying it’s going to be easy, but it will be worth it. Kim specially designed this workshop for therapists to help and support women to allow them to thrive and bloom and thus to live an enjoyable life.

Subjects covered in this menopause course include:

  • What is menopause?

  • The symptoms of menopause.

  • Poor emotional wellbeing.

  • Body image and weight gain.

  • How it can affect work.

  • Cognition and brain fog.

  • The impact on relationships.

  • Stress management.

  • Sleep action plans.

  • Methods to reduce hot flushes and night sweats – training endorsed by the British Menopause Society.

  • Menopause and beyond, including self-care.

What extras are included with this Menopause Workshop?

The workshop is supported with downloadable written material, including client handouts and information sheets, intake forms, a symptom checker, practical scripts and a workbook.  In addition, we provide all delegates with a printed Certificate of Attendance and ongoing support by phone or e-mail.
